43 Amaranthaceae

GBIF

Notes: Morphology and molecular evidence both suggest a merger of the families Amaranthaceae and Chenopodiaceae under the former name (e.g., Welsh et al. 2003b, based on Rodman 1990; Judd and Ferguson 1999 and later studies; Stevens 2001 onwards). The genera with native or persistent adventive occurrence in the Arctic all belong to the former Chenopodiaceae.
