Geography: Asian (N/C) - amphi-Beringian - North American (NW): SIB RFE ALA CAN.

Notes: The name Pulsatilla hirsutissima is illegitimate because the given basionym is Clematis hirsutissima Pursh, Fl. Amer. Sept. 2: 385 (1813), a true Clematis. The names Anemone ludoviciana and Pulsatilla ludoviciana are also illegitimate as nomina nova for Clematis hirsutissima.
