Geography: American Beringian: ALA.
Notes: Yurtsev and Murray: Variety lutea Hultén is a distinctive plant found in the St. Paul, St. Matthew, and St. Lawrence islands and in several localities on the western Seward Peninsula. It was included among the rare and endangered plants of Alaska by Lipkin and Murray (1997) and was also accepted by Ling (1996). We are reluctant to accept it as a geographical race as it seems to occur entirely within the range of Artemisia globularia s. str. It is either a species or a recurrent variation within A. globularia.
