Not included: Reports of tetraploid and otherwise deviating numbers from central Europe (2n = 32, Mattick in Tischler 1950; 2n = 16-17 20 32, Titz 1966) may belong to other species.
Geography: Amphi-Atlantic - European - Asian (W) & tropical mountains: ICE NOR RUS SIB CAN GRL.
Notes: An interesting study on the quite complicated phylogeography of Arabis alpina s. lat. is Koch et al. (2006). The same or closely related species occur as far south as in the Canary Islands, the Mediterranean mountains, and in eastern Africa.
