Geography: European - Asian (N/C).
Notes: Yurtsev proposed two parapatric races (subspecies) of Astragalus frigidus s. lat. They differ in several characters and look quite different, but intermediates occur in the meeting zone in western Taimyr and eastwards south of the Arctic. A third subspecies was accepted by Vydrina (1994) for Siberia and reported to just reach the Arctic.
