Notes: Ranunculus hyperboreus has until recently been treated collectively in most areas. Critical examination is therefore needed of the material from some non-Russian regions, especially Greenland. Nilsson (2001a) accepted subsp. arnellii from the nearby island of Jan Mayen and from a few sites in non-arctic parts of northern Scandinavia. Internal note: Check Greenland material of Ranunculus hyperboreus in HbO.
