- L., Sp. Pl.: 540 (1753). Described from Canada and Siberia. Lectotype (LINN): Herb. Linn. 710.23 (Britton 1891: 228). As Linnaeus subsequently described A. canadensis, the name A. dichotoma should be reserved for the Siberian plant. - Anemonidium dichotomum (L.) Holub, Folia Geobot. Phytotax. 9: 272 (1974).

Geography: Asian (N/C): SIB.
Notes: Hultén and Fries (1986: map 830) mapped Anemone dichotoma with occurrences along the lowermost reaches of the Ob River, within the Arctic as defined. Timokhina (1993) mapped it from the Borderline Arctic along the lower Jenisei River.
