Notes: Tzvelev argued for recognition of Schedonorus apart from Festuca. Soreng et al. (2003) accepted Schedonorus for America and we accept it. Several recent investigations support this separation (e.g., Namaganda et al. 2006; Fjellheim et al. 2006). See also Lolium (below).
