Notes: Limnorchis huronensis was previously treated as Platanthera hyperborea var. viridiflora but is evidently different from both L. hyperborea and L. aquilonis. The recent combination L. huronensis (Nutt.) Rebrist. & Elven in Elven and D.F. Murray (2008: 434) was superfluous. The species is an allotetraploid from L. aquilonis and L. dilatata (Wallace 2003, 2004).
