- Botrychium crassinervium var. obtusilobum Rupr., Bemerk. Botrychium: 43 (1859). Described from Unalaska in the Aleutian Islands (Alaska). - Botrychium boreale subsp. obtusilobum (Rupr.) R.T. Clausen, Mem. Torrey Bot. Club 19: 81 (1938).

180 (4x). - North America (W). - Löve et al. (1971, for B. boreale but most probably this species); Wagner (1993).
Geography: Amphi-Beringian (E) - Cordilleran: RFE ALA (CAN).
Notes: Wagner Jr. and Wagner (1993) distinguished between Botrychium boreale and a western North American B. pinnatum. Cody (1996) reported B. pinnatum from the northern parts of the Richardson Mountains in the Borderline Arctic in the Yukon Territory.
Tzvelev: The Chukchi Peninsula plants, previously considered B. boreale, are geographically much closer to B. pinnatum and have been confirmed as such.
