Geography: Amphi-Atlantic (E) - European (N): ICE NOR RUS SIB RFE GRL.
Notes: Tolmachev (1960) reported Botrychium boreale only from Taimyr in Siberia. Krasnoborov (1988a) reported it only from a specified locality in Yamal-Gydan. Tzvelev (1991a) mapped two localities from the Arctic in West and East Chukotka. Tzvelev (in comment) transferred the record from East Chukotka to B. pinnatum. The record from West Chukotka needs confirmation as to identity as it is fairly distant from the otherwise accepted range of this species.
