8617 Chrysanthemum L.
- L., Sp. Pl.: 887 (1753).
- Dendranthema (DC.) Des Moul., Actes Soc. Linn. Bordeaux 20: 561 (1855).
Notes: Tzvelev (1985) distinguished Arctanthemum (see below) from Dendranthema. One of the species left by him inside Dendranthema was D. mongolicum (or D. zawadskii subsp. peleiolepis). Tzvelev (1987e) mapped this species from many arctic parts of Siberia, especially from Taimyr and the lower Lena River. Also Sekretareva (1999) reported it from several arctic regions. Its genus is, however, Chrysanthemum (again) as this economically important genus has been re-lectotypified with C. indicum L. as conserved type, in the same relationship as C. mongolicum and C. zawadskii.
