Notes: There are additional races in central and northeastern North America. The inclusion of (also) this species in Arnica angustifolia, proposed by Douglas and Ruyle-Douglas (1978), was not accepted by Scoggan (1979), Cody (1996), nor by Wolf (2006). Wolf did not recognize races in A. lonchophylla.
