Geography: North American (NE): CAN.
Notes: Many North American authors have accepted Arnica plantaginea as species (e.g., Polunin 1940; Maguire 1942; Douglas and Ruyle-Douglas 1978; Scoggan 1979). Wolf (2006) included it in the synonymy of A. angustifolia subsp. angustifolia. This may be the best solution but we would like to see the arguments for it.
