Notes: Petrovsky and Elven: Male plants are unknown; agamospermous. Subspecies friesiana is the geographically most wide-ranging race, distributed from the Lena River area eastwards throughout northeastern Asia, Alaska, and Canada to western Greenland, i.e., throughout the entire range of the species. Antennaria pseudoarenicola is known from East and South Chukotka. It is morphologically close to A. friesiana subsp. friesiana and we provisionally synonymize it with that subspecies.
