Notes: Porsild and Cody (1980) mapped Antennaria microphylla (as A. nitida) to reach the Arctic along the western coast of Hudson Bay and possibly the Borderline Arctic in the Great Bear Lake area. Bayer (2006) stated that the types of A. microphylla and A. nitida are (morphologically) identical. Bayer considered A. microphylla to be one of the sexual progenitors of the A. rosea complex. However, some authors have reported male plants to be absent in at least some northern populations.
