Geography: North American: (CAN).
Notes: Symphyotrichum falcatum reaches the Borderline Arctic in the Great Bear Lake area in the Northwest Territories (Scoggan 1979). Brouillet et al. (2006) accepted S. falcatum apart from S. ericoides. Symphyotrichum falcatum was recognized with two varieties, var. falcatum and the more southern var. commutatum (Torr. & A. Gray) G.L. Nesom.
