GBIF

2n= (1) 30 (2x, x = 15). - Europe, Asia (W). - Numerous reports.
(2) 34 (2x, x = 17). - Europe, Siberia. - Several reports.
(3) 68 (4x, x = 17). - Europe, Siberia. - Several reports.
(4) 90 (6x, x = 15). - Asia (W). - Contandriopoulos (1980).
Löve and Löve (1975a) reported only 2n = 30 for this species, to fit with their concept of Syncodon as a genus apart from Campanula due to a different base chromosome number (x = 15). However, numerous chromosome counts with base number x = 17, as in other Campanulas, are known from C. glomerata (see, e.g., Fedorov 1969) and were also known at the time of the Löves.

Geography: European - Asian: NOR* RUS* SIB*.

Notes: Campanula glomerata is polymorphic but peripheral to the Arctic.
