Notes: The combination Myosotis laxa subsp. cespitosa (Schultz) Hyl. ex Nordh. may be illegitime. Nordhagen (1940) entered the name as subsp. cespitosa (Schultz) Hyl. without any indication that it was intended as a new combination and without any other reference to a basionym than the inclusion of "Schultz".
Petrovsky (PAF proposal) reported subsp. cespitosa as native in the arctic Russian regions, Sekretareva (1999) as adventive. We follow the latter course.
