Notes: Elven and Solstad: Symphytum asperum is a popular perennial garden ornamental, rapidly escaping, and established in at least one arctic site in Vardø, Norway (Elven and Solstad, observation 2007). Sekretareva (1999) reported it to be remaining or casual in Kanin-Pechora in European Russia.
