- Sm. in Rees, Cycl. 26: Pedicularis no. 4 (1814). Described from northwestern North America, probably southern Alaska or northern British Columbia. Type a Menzies collection.
- Pedicularis macrodonta Richardson in Franklin, Narr. Journey Polar Sea (Bot. App.): 742 (1823). Described from the Hudson Bay area (Canada).
Geography: North American (N): CAN.
Notes: Hultén (1968a) mapped Pedicularis parviflora with a narrowly coastal Pacific range from British Columbia to south-central Alaska. He mapped a closely related P. macrodonta with an interrupted range almost across North America from south-central Alaska to the Hudson and James bays. We provisionally apply the wider circumscription of the species (Scoggan 1979; Porsild and Cody 1980).
