Notes: Gusarova and Elven: Pugsley (1933) designated as lectotype for Euphrasia frigida a large-flowered and short-stalked glandular plant of southern and central Greenland. Sell and Yeo (1970) confirmed the type and characteristics. The Greenland E. frigida differs from the northernmost large-flowered northeastern American species (E. hudsoniana) in, e.g., the abundant glands. It also differs from the assumedly closest northwestern European species (E. stricta) in several features in leaves, hairs, glands, and flowers.
