Notes: Veronica wormskjoldii is a tetraploid northwestern Atlantic species that reaches the Arctic in southern Greenland, northeastern Canada north to southern Baffin Island, and perhaps in a few localities west of Hudson Bay. The results of Albach et al. (2006) point towards an allotetraploid origin from V. alpina and V. nutans.
