Notes: In northwestern Europe, all investigated arctic material belongs to var. conferta. However, Pyrola minor s. str. reaches fairly far north in Norway and Russia (along the Pasvik valley on the border between the countries).
In addition to arctic Iceland and mainland Norway, P. minor (var. conferta) has recently (2007) been vouchered from the High Arctic island of Jan Mayen (TROM).
