72 (8x). - Canada (E). - At least five reports.
Not included (Kelso): A report of 2n = 54 (6x) from eastern Canada (Vogelmann 1960). Kelso (1991a) suggested that Vogelmann's count could be erroneous.
Geography: North American (NE): CAN.
Notes: Kelso: Primula laurentiana is a boreal eastern Canadian equivalent of the more western P. incana. It reaches the Arctic in the Hudson Bay-Ungava area (see Kelso 1991a, vouchers in CAN, DAO).
Elven: In the haplotype analysis of Guggisberg et al. (2006), parts of P. laurentiana grouped with P. incana and P. stricta, other parts with P. egaliksensis and P. mistassinica. It indicates at least two different origins of the octoploid P. laurentiana.
