Mulligan (2002) accepted 2n = ca. 72 and 74 for Canadian and Alaskan plants. Al-Shehbaz et al. (2010a) accepted only 2n = 74.
Not included: Counts of 2n = 40+1 (Rollins 1993), 64 (at least three reports from Canada and Greenland), and 82 (Rollins 1993) are discounted by Al-Shehbaz et al. (2010a) due to lack of verifiable vouchers.
Geography: North American (N): CAN GRL.
Notes: Draba aurea is widespread also in Alaska and the Yukon Territory but does not reach the Arctic there.
