672104-05 The Draba stenopetala aggregate D. stenopetala, D. tschuktschorum

Geography: Amphi-Beringian - Cordilleran.

Notes: The Draba stenopetala aggregate is a small, narrowly Beringian and perhaps Cordilleran group of densely pulvinate plants with small flowers and sometimes very narrow petals, including D. stenopetala, D. tschuktschorum, and the non-arctic D. aleutica and D. densiflora. Draba aleutica E. Ekman was described from Atka in the Aleutian Islands and is mainly Aleutian but also occurs in the Russian Commander Islands (D. behringii Tolm. described from Copper Island). It is not known from the Arctic even if it approaches in the Wide Bay area (Alaska Peninsula) in southwestern Alaska (specimens in ALA). Draba densiflora Nutt ex Torr. & A. Gray is Cordilleran and has some isolated occurrences in non-arctic parts of central Alaska.
