The report of 2n = 32 may be based on a slight miscount or may be aneuploid from 2n = 34 which is assumed to be the diploid level (x = 17) in this genus.

Geography: North American (NE): CAN.

Notes: Amelanchier bartramiana was reported by Scoggan (1978c) and confirmed by specimens (CAN, DAO) north to the Arctic in the Ungava-Labrador area.
