Vydrina (1988b) mapped one locality for Chamaerhodos grandiflora on the left bank of the Lena River north of Kyusur, at our arctic boundary (the boundary should probably have been drawn farther north). The more common northern plant is C. erecta (L.) Bunge, present in both Asia and northwestern North America, but it does not reach the Arctic.
