- Jurtz. & V.V. Petrovsky, Fl. Arct. URSS 9, 1: 319 (1984). Holotype (LE): Russian Far East: West Chukotka, "montium Anjuensium pars borealis ad fontes fl. Erguveem (afluentiae sinistrae inferioris fl. Rau-Czua)", 11. July 1967, leg. B. Yurtsev, A. Korobkov, and E. Zimarskaja 67-112.
2n=
28 (4x). - See above. A tetraploid number is counted in the type specimen.
Not included: One report of 2n = 49 from Russia (see above).
Geography: Asian (NE) (or amphi-Beringian?): SIB RFE ALA? CAN?
Notes: Mainly the tetraploid chromosome number is reported from subsp. nivicola, all counts on Asian plants. Even if we give Alaska (ALA) and Canada (ALA, CAN) with a question mark only, we have seen material from western Alaska (the Seward Peninsula) morphologically very similar to Asian subsp. nivicola.
