Notes: Subspecies hyparctica (Entity I sensu Elven 2007) is the widespread high-arctic taxon and is predominantly hexaploid in Russian counts as in counts from Svalbard, Greenland, and northernmost Canada. The northwestern European arctic region is Svalbard but the plant is also present as very rare and isolated in northern Sweden.
