Notes: Geum calthifolium reaches the Arctic in St. Matthew Island (Hultén 1968a). Hultén's (1968a) statement, that Geum (Parageum) calthifolium hybridizes with Geum (Acomastylis) rossii where they meet, should be taken into consideration if segregate genera in this group is considered. We have inspected numerous collections of convincing southwestern Alaskan hybrids (in S).
