640902 Geum aleppicum Jacq.
- Jacq., Icon. Pl. Rar. 1: 10 (1786). Described on plants of unknown origin, perhaps cultivated, probably originating from Aleppo (Syria).
Geography: Circumboreal.
Notes: Yurtsev (PAF proposal) accepted the North American plant of Geum aleppicum s. lat. as G. strictum. North American authors have mostly treated it as a variety. We treat it as a major subspecies besides the non-arctic Eurasian G. aleppicum subsp. aleppicum.
