- Pall., Fl. Ross. 1, 1: 33 (1784). Described from the Maya River in the Aldan region, Yakutia (Siberia).
Geography: Asian (NE): (SIB).
Notes: Spiraea betulifolia reaches the Borderline Arctic. Polozhij (1988a) mapped it from a lower Lena River locality north of our arctic boundary but very close to the actual treeline.
