- Oxytropis schmorgunoviae var. tundrarum Jurtz., Byull. Moskovsk. Obshch. Isp. Prir., Otd. Biol. 83, 1: 126 (1978). Described from and co-occurring with the type variety in the type locality.

48 (6x). - Far East (West Chukotka). - Zhukova in Yurtsev (1978); Zhukova (1983). Both reports based on counts from the type population.
Geography: Asian Beringian: RFE.
Notes: Elven and Murray: Yurtsev (1986) mapped Oxytropis schmorgunoviae from 5-6 localities in West Chukotka and farther south. Yurtsev also proposed a var. tundrarum in the type locality of the species but in a different site type (dry tundra surroundings of relic steppe islets). We do not accept the variety.
