Notes: Yurtsev: I consider Oxytropis nigrescens to represent an ancestral morphotype in the aggregate, characterized especially by more leaflets per leaf and more flowers per inflorescence than the others, and by difference in bracts.
Elven: I agree in the distinctness of Siberian O. nigrescens from the Beringian and North American species.
