630526 Astragalus inopinatus Boriss.

2n= 16 (2x). - Siberia (central Yakutia). - Zhukova (1983, for subsp. inopinatus).

Geography: Asian (C-NE).

Notes: Yurtsev: Astragalus inopinatus replaces A. adsurgens = [A. laxmannii] in Yakutia but the taxa are sympatric in some parts of southeastern Siberia. Astragalus adsurgens is easily recognized by violet-red flowers in dense pyramidate racemes vs. in A. inopinatus sordid white flowers in dense oblong or capituliform racemes. Astragalus inopinatus is represented in subarctic Yakutia by subsp. oreogenus, deviating towards A. pseudadsurgens in some characters of vegetative organs and corolla tinked pinkish or bluish, but still easily distinguished from the latter by erect stems and smaller flowers in dense short racemes.
