Geography: North American (NE): CAN GRL.

Notes: Argus and Elven: Subspecies callicarpaea extends across north-central and northeastern Canada south to northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba and east to Newfoundland and Greenland. Pálsson (2000) assigned all specimens of subsp. callicarpaea reported from Iceland, the Faeroes, and Svalbard to Salix arctica. Weagree as concerns Iceland and the Faeroes, but those from Svalbard have subsequently been re-identified as S. lanata.
