Notes: Baikov (1996a) described and mapped Euphorbia esula to reach the Arctic in the Taimyr region along the lower courses of the Jenisei and Khatanga rivers and also more generally into arctic Yakutia. We accept it to reach the Borderline Arctic. Euphorbia esula s. lat. is polymorphic but the variation is not considered further here as the species is very marginal to the Arctic. Euphorbia esula s. lat. probably consists of at least two species (E. esula and E. virgata Waldst. & Kit.) and their more or less stabilized hybrid (E. x pseudovirgata (Schur) Soó).
