- Saxifraga exilis Stephan ex Sternb., Revis. Saxifrag., Suppl. 1: 8 (1822), non Pall. (1816). Described from Siberia.

Geography: Asian (NE) - amphi-Beringian: SIB RFE ALA CAN.
Notes: Zhmylev: Saxifraga radiata is a Siberian and northwestern North American hypoarctic species differing from S. sibirica by presence of runners, hair length, and leaf and petal shape. Plants with bulbils in the inflorescence, resembling S. cernua, occur rarely in the Arctic.
Elven: Jalas et al. (1999) synonymized Saxifraga radiata with S. sibirica, a viewpoint none of us share.
We suspect that the plants with bulbils in the inflorescence, noted by Zhmylev above, may be part of a perhaps fairly even hybrid transition (swarm) between S. radiata and S. cernua.
