- Zhmylev, Byull. Moskovsk. Obshch. Isp. Prir., Otd. Biol. 97, 1: 95 (1992). Holotype (DAO 650536): Canada: the Yukon Territory, the British Mountains, tributary of the Firth River, 6907'N 14015'W, 07. July 1980, leg. W.J. Cody 27,166. - Saxifraga bronchialis subsp. codyana (Zhmylev) Cody, Canad. Field-Naturalist 108: 94 (1994).
Geography: American Beringian: ALA CAN.
Notes: Murray: Saxifraga codyana is nearly restricted to the Endicott and Philip Smith mountains in northeastern Alaska and the British and Richardson mountains in northwestern Canada. Inspection of material (ALA) from northeastern Alaska and the Yukon Territory has not convinced me that S. codyana is worth recognition as more than perhaps local modifications of S. funstonii (or S. bronchialis subsp. funstonii). Brouillet and Elvander (2009b) synonymized S. codyana with S. bronchialis subsp. funstonii.
