Notes: Zhmylev: Subspecies hultenii is a geographically isolated northwestern North American subspecies of the Cordilleran Micranthes lyallii.
Elven: The gap between subsp. lyallii and subsp. hultenii is between the eastern and the western and northern parts of the Cordilleran ranges, i.e., not an obvious case of isolation south and north of the Cordilleran glaciers. Brouillet and Elvander (2009a) discussed but did not accept subsp. hultenii.
