Notes: Elven and Murray: Minuartia dawsonensis is similar in many aspects to M. stricta and has sometimes been synonymized with it. It is accepted as a species in the majority of recent studies of Minuartia (e.g., Rabeler et al. 2005). McNeill (1962) even kept it apart in sect. Sclerophylla Mattf.
