There are some old European reports of higher numbers in this species: 2n = 78 (6x, x = 13?) and ca. 120 (10x, x = 12).
Geography: European - Asian: RUS SIB RFE.
Notes: Minuartia verna is polymorphic with several described subspecies. The material from the Arctic has been assigned to subsp. verna but the reasons for this are not known to us.
