Notes: Hultén (1956, 1958) mapped his Cerastium regelii (i.e., this subspecies) from Banks Island in the westernmost Canadian Arctic Archipelago eastwards across Greenland and the arctic European islands to Taimyr. Tolmachev (1971a) restricted the range in Russia to Franz Joseph Land, Novaya Zemlya, and Polar Ural. We here follow Tolmachev. Local co-occurrence with subsp. regelii without transitions has been observed in northern Banks Island.
