- Stellaria arctica Schischk., Fl. URSS 6: 418, 881 (1936). Type (LE): Russian Far East: East Chukotka, "Peninsula Czukotsky, in promontorio Schmidt (Severnyi, apud Kjellmann'a - Irkapij)", 02. Aug. 1934, leg. B. Gorodkov. - Stellaria ciliatosepala var. arctica (Schischk.) Hultén, Bot. Not. 1943: 258 (1943).

ca. 72-84 52-104? (4x-8x). - Löve and Löve (1975a) reported four different numbers from the Arctic of North America and Siberia: 2n = ca. 78, ca. 84, ca. 91, and ca. 104.
Geography: Amphi-Beringian - North American (N): RFE ALA CAN GRL.
Notes: Hultén (1943a) considered Stellaria laeta to be mainly arctic North American and mapped it from only one locality on the Russian side, in East Chukotka. Pavlova and Bezdeleva (1996) mapped it with scattered localities in the Russian Far East. Sekretareva (1999) reported it from several regions from Yana-Kolyma eastwards. Vlasova (1993) did not accept it from Siberia.
