Notes: Peschkova (1994a) mapped Papaver stubendorffii from the regions of the central Lena and Aldan rivers in Yakutia, not approaching the Arctic anywhere in Siberia. See, however, the reports of hexaploid chromosome counts assigned to this species from northeastern Yakutia. Bezdeleva (1987) mapped the species from scattered localities in the northern Russian Far East north to a locality slightly north of the Anadyr valley, bordering on the Arctic.
