Yurtsev: Aconitum productum differs from A. delphinifolium in several assumed independent characters, e.g., a high helmet-shaped hood with the front side longer than the back side and with a longer beak vs. a boat-like hood with a small beak, and staminodia ('petals') 5-10 mm and strongly hooked vs. 3-4 mm and hardly hooked. In addition it is tetraploid.
