340903-05 The Hierochloë odorata aggregate H. glabra, H. odorata, H. wrangelica

Geography: Circumboreal-polar.

Notes: Weimarck (see above) mainly accepted three species: Hierochloë glabra, H. hirta, and H. odorata. Russian authors have accepted more species from the Asian parts, e.g., H. annulata and H. wrangelica. No efficient cross-comparison of Russian with western European and American material has been undertaken. We deviate from Weimarck (1971) in considering H. hirta in a more restricted way (making it non-arctic) by transferring its geographical major part (subsp. arctica) to H. odorata.
