Geography: European (NE) - Asian (NW): RUS SIB.
Notes: Elven and Murray: Subspecies turuchanensis is restricted to the surroundings of the Ural Mountains and northwestern Siberia. A report from Alaska by Tzvelev (in PAF proposal, based on information from Yurtsev) is due to plants (ALA) with pubescent leaves like "turuchanensis" but otherwise conforming to Asian Elymus macrourus s. str.
